Light Action, Inc. based out of New Castle, Delaware, is a full service production company specializing in theatrical lighting, roofing and staging systems. As the production company in charge of lighting and staging for the Dick Cheney Tribute dinner, Light Action chose IMS Audio Visual to provide the equipment and operations skills necessary to deliver the highest standard in digital image projection as well as video and audio recording.
The Situation
The 2004 Senate Majority Dinner also included a tribute to Vice President Dick Cheney. The venue necessitated the need for multiple projection screens in order for all attendees to see the speakers and presenters on stage as well as the video and graphics playback.
The IMS Solution
Two 10x14 ft. Da-Lite Screens suspended from truss towers- each utilizing a 10,000 lumen Sanyo LCD projector.
One 9x12 ft. delay screen, utilizing a 5,000 lumen Sanyo LCD projector
Image Magnification (IMAG) was provided by a Sony broadcast camera and switching was done with a Folsum Screen Pro. The entire event was recorded on Beta SP.
