The Situation

  • Screen and stage positioned front and center of the stairs
  • Staircase used for standing and seating space

Client Needs

  • Large front-projection video screen needed to be seen by all attendees from all sides of the staircase and surrounding balconies
  • Could not project from anywhere on the staircase
  • Multiple DVD playback with seamless switching
  • Projection path could not be crossed by attendees
  • Available projector position was far off-center of the screen creating skewed images

The IMS Solution

  • 12×16 truss screen placed front and center at the bottom of the stairs
  • Placed projector off to the extreme left side of the staircase
  • Used computer-assisted ScreenShaper Technology to create a bright, non-keystoned image
  • Seamless video switching through a Folsom PresentationPro

Results

  • Exceeded client expectations with a eye-catching, flawless event
  • Audience was able to use 100% of the staircase for seating
  • No audience walk-through of the projection path
  • Projector placed in unobtrusive, out of the way location
  • High class, sleek atmosphere to a spectacular event
